Graphic Design Blog

In this class, students will learn the basics of graphic design, use industry-standard software and build a design portfolio. We'll begin by learning some basic page layout principles, but we'll dive in right away with hands-on projects working with a partner or a small group. Projects we will work on include: creating mock concert posters and print advertisements, creating a book cover for your favorite book, and working on a page design for your favorite magazine. Students will also be able to propose projects that interest them. From magazines to TV advertisements, graphic design is all around us.
